Former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress Janet Hubert definitely raised eyebrows last month when she slammed former co-star Will Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith in her video response to the couple’s Oscars 2016 boycott.
Though the 60-year-old actress did agree there is a diversity problem in the Academy, she reignited her 20-year feud with Will and called out the Magic Mike XXL star for not creating more entertainment opportunities for people of color.
Janet once again broached the issue while visiting The Real this week, but instead of bashing the 44-year-old, she praised her.
“I respect Jada highly,” Janet told the panel. “I respect her skill. I respect her as an artist. I respect her as an actress, very much.”
Co-host Jeannie Mai applauded the Chicago native and said in spite of it all, both women brought awareness to the diversity issue.

The 88th annual Academy Awards airs Sunday, February 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
